Staying safe and well at all times
When we began the New Year, celebrating a new decade, no one could have foreseen the huge challenge we were about to face with COVID-19. However, before the lockdown started, Belgrave Care began to take extra measures to ensure that all of our customers, carers and office staff are always fully protected.
This prompt action has helped to ensure that none of our workforce or customers have had COVID-19 to date. All of our carers follow strict infection and hygiene rules that they have been trained to follow and they are all properly equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
We have followed Government guidelines on a daily basis and will continue to do so. Every day we are in touch with Cheshire West and Cheshire Council, the Care Quality Commission and the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), working in partnership with them to ensure that we all adhere to the advice given and to ensure that we have adequate supplies of PPE.
Instead of waiting for Coronavirus to end, we have learnt to live with its threat, as with any infection, updating all of our policies and procedures so that everyone takes extra precautions.
We have kept relatives and friends of our customers who are unable to visit them updated on their health and well-being and continue to offer advice and reassurance in these difficult and emotional times. Our carers have also helped our customers to connect remotely with their loved ones through social media and technology.
We have continued to support our customers by doing their shopping for them and collecting their prescriptions.
Belgrave Care will always adapt to changing circumstances to ensure that our customers, carers and workforce stay safe and well at all times, not just during COVID-19.
